  • > Sri is a repeat entrepreneur building aarnâ — the agentic onchain treasury. aarnâ is building the infrastructure layer for regulated, AI-powered onchain asset management, with a mission to make tokenised financial assets accessible to institutional and global capital at scale. Earlier, as the founder of Milk Mantra, India’s first VC-funded agri-food startup, Sri pioneered ethically sourced, tech-driven consumer food and became a leading voice for purpose-driven capitalism. His work has received global media attention and has been featured in leading business school case studies.

  • > Previously a key member of the Tata Group’s elite TAS, Sri built his capital markets instincts across M&A in the consumer food & beverage sector, with stints in London and Johannesburg.

  • > Sri has worked with India’s leading policy institutions, contributing to national digital infrastructure projects reviewed at the Prime Ministerial level. An Aspen Institute Fellow and Yale World Fellow, he sits at the intersection of technology, capital markets, and public policy — and brings that lens to building aarnâ.

DeFi Lectures

Sri Misra's DeFi Lecture Series

A structured lecture series on decentralised finance, designed to help students, professionals, and institutional audiences understand how finance is being rebuilt on programmable rails.

Rather than treating DeFi as a narrow crypto topic, the series approaches it through the lenses of market structure, financial infrastructure, risk, governance, and institutional adoption. It starts with first principles, then moves into how blockchains, smart contracts, stablecoins, lending markets, tokenization, and onchain asset management are reshaping the architecture of finance.

The lectures are designed for multiple audiences - from universities and fintech learners to finance professionals, operators, and executive education cohorts seeking a clearer understanding of the new financial stack.

Current Courses

DeFi 101 - Future of Finance

A broad and accessible introduction to decentralised finance. This course explains why decentralisation matters, what Bitcoin and Ethereum made possible, how smart contracts changed market design, and how DeFi is creating a new financial stack.

It builds toward the core building blocks of DeFi - exchanges, lending, stablecoins, tokenization, governance, and institutional readiness - and is well suited to interdisciplinary audiences looking for a strong conceptual foundation.

DeFi - Programmable Market Infrastructure

A more technical and design-led course that treats DeFi as programmable financial infrastructure.

It examines smart contracts, custody, settlement, market structure, lending systems, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and the broader architecture of onchain finance. This format is especially suited to audiences in computer science, fintech, finance, and interdisciplinary technology programs.

Extended Modules and Custom Formats

The lecture series can also be delivered in extended or modular formats depending on the audience.

These include deeper sessions on DeFi systems and market structure, risk, governance, and institutional readiness, regulation and trust frameworks, tokenization and the future of financial infrastructure, and the emerging overlap between AI and DeFi.

This allows the series to work across universities, executive education, industry associations, and specialised professional cohorts.
